APOSTLE, DR. JULIA HOLMES
Dr. Julia Holmes a native of Beaufort, S. C., has been a servant of the Most High since the mid 70’s. Pastor Holmes has an Apostolic call on her life with the manifestation of several spiritual gifts.
Dr. Holmes and her husband pioneered Joyful Harvest Christian Ministry, AKA Harvest International Ministries (H.I.M.) in September of 1989. She and her husband Bishop Howard Holmes II work together in the ministry and serves as the Apostolic & Prophetic Covering for several ministries and ministry gifts.
Dr. Holmes travails and intercedes for the salvation of the lost, and she has a desire to see believers walk in total victory through Christ, fulfilling their God ordained purpose in the earth realm. In her ministry, she challenges individuals to take God at his Word and to practice the Word of God in their daily living.
Dr. Holmes is a writer, and sings prophetically. She writes Life Changing Rx (prescriptions), which promotes H.E.L.P.S. (healing, empowerment, love, peace, strength & support) within the body of Christ. Side by Side, Face to Face is a publication used for premarital and marital counseling sessions and seminars. Dr. Julia’s twelve-week individual counseling session Be Whole focuses on promoting healing from the inside out. She also has a unique recording ministry entitled 20/20/20, which encourages believers to increase the time spent with the Lord. Dr. Julia desires to impact the lives of Elect Ladies and females in the pastorate over the world through the “Mary Elizabeth Connection” designed to edify and strengthen, stir up and release spiritual gifting in others.
Other past publications include a tract entitled; God Has a Purpose for Your Life and in the past she has published a quarterly newsletter entitled Harvest Times Witness, which featured writings that promotes spiritual growth in all believers.
Dr. Julia has a radio ministry entitled “Thought Provoking Life Changing Word” which can be heard locally on Radio 1470 AM every Sunday at 7 a.m.
Dr. Julia has earned her Bachelor of Science in Education, from Claflin University, Master of Religious Arts in Theology and Doctor of Religious Philosophy in Christian Psychology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. She has also participated in programs at South Carolina State College, Northeastern University and the Clinical Pastoral Education at the University of Chicago Hospitals.
Dr. Holmes has been married to Bishop Howard Holmes II since July of 1976, has four adult children and five grandchildren.
